FAQ

What is ProShield Lubrication?
Unlike other razors, ProShield is our first razor with lubrication before and after the blades to shield from irritation.

How is Chill different than Fusion5™ ProShield?
For the first time ever on a Gillette razor, our Chill Lubrication includes Cooling Technology for a refreshing sensation during your shave.

What is FlexBall Technology?
Handles featuring FlexBall Technology allow the blades to respond to the contours of your face to get virtually every hair.

What makes Fusion5™ ProShield better than Fusion5™?
With lubrication before and after the blade, ProShield Lubrication shields while you shave. Its handle features FlexBall Technology that responds to contours even over the trickiest areas.

How will thinner, finer blades improve my shave?
Gillette Fusion5™ ProShield razors feature Gillette's thinnest, finest blades* ever to glide through hair with less tug and pull.†

What is the Precision Trimmer?
The ProShield Precision Trimmer, on the back of the blades, features an enhanced blade and anti-clogging rinse slots—perfect for hard-to-reach areas.

Will ProShield blade refills fit any other Gillette handles?
Yes, all Fusion5™ blades fit all Fusion5™ and Fusion5™ Power razors.

Should I still use a shave gel product with the ProShield razor?
Yes. Using a non-drying shave gel, like Fusion5™ ProGlide Sensitive Shave Gel, softens hair and helps defend against nicks and cuts.

What’s the microchip and how does it work?
A battery-powered razor delivers an optimal shave when the voltage and frequency remain consistent, shave after shave. Over the lifetime of the battery, the voltage can weaken, reducing frequency and therefore performance. The microchip maintains constant voltage and frequency over the lifetime of the battery, delivering consistent product performance every time you shave.

How does the low-battery indicator light work?
The microchip inside Gillette Fusion5 ProShield Power senses when the battery is approaching a low level, and the low-battery indicator light begins to flash, signaling that it's time to change the AAA battery.

What’s the automatic shutoff feature?
The automatic shutoff feature turns the razor off after roughly 8 minutes of continuous operation. This feature protects the battery if the razor is accidentally activated, which comes in handy when traveling.

How does a power razor give men a better shave?
Soothing Micropulses help reduce friction and increase razor glide. With comfort so incredible, you'll barely feel the blades.

For best results, should the power be turned on or off when using the Precision Trimmer?
The Precision Trimmer can be used with the power turned on or off. Using the Precision Trimmer with or without power is an individual choice.

What type of battery does Gillette Fusion5™ ProShield Power use?
Gillette Fusion5™ ProShield Power uses a AAA battery.

The Best Shave I've Had | Gillette ProShield Review

Gillette's new Fusion ProShield razor has given me quite possibly the best shave I've ever had. The FlexBall technology is back and works great with both the new bottom lubricant strip and the trimmer blade on the back of the razor. This makes the ProShield one of the most flexible and versatile manual razors I've ever seen.Come check out more of my reviews:YouTube: http://youtube.com/eposvoxVessel: http://vessel.com/eposvox

Lubricated strip sticks it anything it touches when dries. Extremely difficult to remove without ripping the strip from the razor.
