Defective despenser

I bought a package of 5 Gillette Clear Gel Cool Wave deoderants from COSTCO. The first one I used worked fine and the product (deoderant) was good. But, 3 of the remaining deoderants did not dispense properly from first use. The dispensing mechanism in these three deoderants did not push the product up so it would dispense through the top grate. I stored the unused deoderants in a closet at room temperature until I tried to use them. I like the product, but what good is it to me if I can't access the product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hate to hear the Gillette Cool Wave didn't dispense for you. We have strict quality standards and wouldn't expect this to happen. We'd like to help make this right for you since you have 3 deodorants that you're unable to use. Please give us a call at (800) 445-5388 when you have a chance. Thanks!

Stopped using product!

After purchasing a collection of polo shirts I started noticing that the fabric was becoming discolored on a few of the shirts. One of the shirts is completely unwearable and another isn't too bad. I've tested and concluded that Gillette Clear Gel is the cause. If the product isn't allowed to completely dry and comes into contact with incompatible fabrics/dyes, the clothing can become permanently ruined. I've switch to another product from a different company and haven't had any further issues. This experience has been going on for years and I wish I'd switched earlier.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hate to hear you're having stains with your shirts. This sometimes occurs with clear gel antiperspirants and fabrics dyed with pH sensitive dyes. While the garment may appear stained, I can assure you the stain is easy to remove from washable fabrics by following the directions below: Thoroughly wet the stained area with water. Do NOT pre-treat with stain remover or detergent. Wash the garment with Liquid Tide, using the warmest water recommended by the garment care label. It may be necessary to repeat this process a few times to completely remove the stain. If your garment is dry clean only, the stain should be able to be removed by a professional dry cleaner. Be sure to let them know the location and type of stain involved. To prevent this from happening in the future, apply just a thin, even layer of antiperspirant and allow it to dry before dressing. Hope this helps.

Used to work well

I have used this deodorant for years (6+), and the only issue I've ever had with it was that it is NOT Fast Drying. Other than that, it's always been an effective weapon against odor and wetness. I was also happy that it was sold at my local warehouse clubs, which saved money considerably. Of late, I've noticed that the protection isn't as long lasting as it once was. The deodorant once lasted all day long, now I feel wetness after being at work for less than an hour. I don't know if the formula has changed, but this is not the same deodorant it once was. Maybe it's a ploy by Gilette to get us to buy their ultra-expensive Clinical Strength anti-perspirant. I guess it's back to the deodorant search, ugh!

No, I do not recommend this product.
